A gatchapon or blind pack is like those 25¢ machines you were always excited to throw a quarter into after grocery shopping — you never quite knew what you were going to get, but you knew it was going to be fun.

The Shapeshifters Make Your Own Binder Kit comes with everything you need to sew your own binder at home including our specific weight of binding mesh, a pattern made to your measurements using our internal sizing system, and illustrated instructions suitable for any skill level. But the Gatchapon kit comes with the added bonus of a surprise fashion fabric. It might be a discontinued fabric, it might be a mixup from a fabric order, it might be leftovers from a custom fabric order, it might be a stock fabric. We won't know until we pack it!

This kit includes ONE pattern drafted to your specifications and is priced accordingly. Additional patterns will be available for purchase separately. Keep a scrap of your binding mesh for comparison if you intend to source additional mesh yourself.

Binder came out great! Fit is pretty perfect. The directions are fairly straightforward; there was only one place where I thought things could have been clearer. Specifically, after sewing up the side seams (with the stiff insert included), the instructions state to trim 0.5 inches from the stiff insert in the arm. This proved difficult to navigate and might have been easier before the side seams had been sewn.

Overall, great pattern, though, and I'm really happy with my binder. I wore it all day today and it was super comfortable, and I really love the branches pattern the team picked out.
